exhibitionist.
art exhibition x drag show
Exhibitionist was a project that I collaborated on with a good friend of mine with the intent of combining the world of traditional art that he was familiar with with the world of queer performance art that was more my forte. The aim was to produce a show with high quality performances to support a small exhibition of local queer artists, all of which were connected by the throughline of a shared theme. This event was a little more experimental and off-the-wall, and we wanted that to shine through in the promotional material.
Whereas in most of my other projects I prefer consistency of colour palette, logos and brand identity, we wanted to branch out a bit here and mix things up every time, hence the wide variety of styles and influences. We were also more inspired by underground club scenes and art movements in our promotional approach, wanting the event to feel a little more grungy and alt than some of the other projects I was managing at the time. All in all, the show was a huge success and was a great opportunity to highlight up-and-coming artists in a range of media, and we had a lot of fun putting it all together.
